Party Down at the Baton Rouge Zoo During This Special Holiday Event
Looking for a uniquely Cajun Christmas experience? Check out ZooLights, a holiday tradition in the capital city! Beginning November 23rd, visitors will enjoy the lights and displays of all your favorite zoo animals and holiday traditions. With oversized gators, penguins and more, ZooLights is not one to be missed!
This year at ZooLights, lighted displays will include illuminated sculptures representing animals and traditional symbols of the holidays. Walk through the zoo and be amazed by the larger-than-life light displays featuring flamingos, giraffes, lions, tigers, gorillas, rhinos, elephants, and alligators. A giant Santa and snowmen, holiday trains, and Santa in a sleigh pulled by giant reindeer and toy soldiers are just a few of the seasonally themed installations. Displays can be up to 30 feet tall!
Animated displays add additional entertainment value to the event. The use of high-wattage, computer-controlled displays will provide exciting animation to displays.
Bring the whole family and get into the holiday spirit of the season. Admission is 5 dollars for adults and teens, 4 dollars for seniors, and 3 dollars for children and Friends of the Zoo members. ZooLights visitors will also gain access to the Safari Photo Booth, holiday treats from Flamingo Café, and the Safari Post Gift Shop.
Community interaction is an important part of life, which is why The Crossing Apartments in Denham Springs, Louisiana is urging you to join in the all of the excitement at this event!
