This year, spend your Independence Day with LSU Museum of Art! The Museum invites you to join in on an evening of fun and entertainment at Red, White & Blue Fourth of July Celebration. Make plans now to attend this festival on Thursday, July 4th beginning at 7:00 p.m.
At the celebration, you’ll be able to view WBRZ's annual Fireworks on the Mississippi from atop the Shaw Center for the Arts' Pennington Rooftop Terrace. Come in from the heat and mingle with family and friends in support of fine art. Enjoy delicious food provided by Capital City Grill, live music by GSTREET, kids’ activities and fireworks!
Museum employees will make art with the kids from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. before the fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening with complimentary soft drinks and water provided by Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
Founded in 1959, the LSU Museum of Art seeks to enrich and inspire through collections, exhibitions, conservation, and education, serving as a cultural and intellectual resource for the University, Baton Rouge, and beyond. As the only dedicated art museum in the city of Baton Rouge, the LSU Museum of Art serves more than 20,000 adults and children who visit the museum’s galleries annually.
